Alan is Chairman of the Parish Council has lived in Gawcott for over 30 years and has been a Councillor for more than 20 years. He is a retired Chartered Surveyor with a particular interest in planning and transport and in 2014/15 ran the Parish Council’s case against HS2’s original strategy to ‘flood’ parish roads with up to 1000 heavy goods vehicle movements a day to and from Calvert.

Alan is also secretary to the Village Hall Charity and the Gawcott Community Group.
